College Academy for Parents - Community Outreach

College students will engage in classroom facilitation assisting elementary school-aged
students in K-6 with college knowledge and core academic courses. CAP will take
place at a local middle school within the Sunnyside Unified School District (SUSD).
College students will engage with students in challenging and engaging hands on
projects and activities designed to explore college knowledge and core subjects.
College students in this experience will attend UA campus activities related to CAP
events such as Saturday campus visits and a CAP graduation, where they will be
assisting with logistics of the day (registration, session break outs, student panels,
campus tours). Students will have opportunities to interact with K-6 students and with
student¿s families as well.
