ELC Service Learning Mentorship

The Engineering Leadership Community houses first and second year engineering students. This engagement experience targets our second-year cohort who will have had prior exposure to leadership principles (teamwork, ethics, project management, interpersonal communication, reflection, goal-setting, personal responsibility, social justice, etc.) through hall programming, ENGR 102, and a required one-unit success course, ENGR 197A. The group will lead teams of first year ELC students in a service learning activity. This will enable students to practice and apply leadership qualities related to managing and motivating a team, prioritizing responsibilities, meeting deadlines, providing feedback, and communicating project outcomes.
